DESCRIPTION: We have been retained by a large, prominent metro/suburban multi-site NYC MLTCP/FIDA Program to locate a Utilization Management (UM) Coordinator who will report to Associate Vice President of UM. The UM Coordinator is responsible for coordinating utilization review, investigation, summary documentation, submission for determination, and notification of enrollees/providers of the Plan’s decision on all service requests filed with the UM Department. Additionally, the clinicians will prospectively perform reviews with members who may no longer need the level of service they were previously receiving. follow-up by the case management team. EXPERIENCE: The successful candidates will have a current, active, and unrestricted RN Licensure, BSN preferred, but not required. He/she should have demonstrated expertise in Service Request and Authorization processes or utilization management programs coupled with clinical experience in the fields of homecare and managed long-term care as well as ability to analyze, summarize and report data in a concise and cogent method. He/she should excellent organizational and communication skills, be self directed, highly motivated and have the ability able to work independently as well as within a team. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel programs is required.
