DESCRIPTION: We have been retained by Centene Corporation, a national leader in the healthcare services field. Centene is one of three MCO’s chosen to implement Pennsylvania’s Community HealthChoices LTSS program, and is seeking a VP of LTSS. The VP role will ensure the program is designed, implemented and operated within defined parameters under Centene’s CHC Program based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. P/L responsibility is projected to be over 2 billion dollars. This role reports to the Product President for Pennsylvania. Reporting to this role will be a Regional Director of Service Coordination, a Senior Director of Operations, and Director of Community Outreach, with a total of 700-800 employees as the program expands. Responsibilities include: •Develop strategy and oversee implementation for LTSS for Pennsylvania Health and Wellness •Ensure the corporate strategic objective are maintained at the health plan •Direct development and implementation and work processes and operational systems, including oversight of the Service Coordination function and the Call Center •Research changes and updates to government regulations and health plan guidelines •Create Network Development Plan and integrate LTC and other network providers •Identify trends and root causes of problems; provide recommendations for improvements, documentation and training •Participate in integration of specialty products in health plan operations •Oversee staffing for both clinical and non clinical direct reports This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving and expanding company. EXPERIENCE: The successful candidate will have a proven progressive background in LTSS or MLTCP management with a strong operations background including oversight of large staffs. A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is a plus, but not required. He/she shall have strong managed care experience at the Director, AVP or VP level and must be a driven self starter with excellent interpersonal, analytic, problem solving and leadership skills. This individual must be a strategic thinker and have excellent computer literacy, including proficiency in Windows environment as well as spreadsheet and database software. Prior team leadership experience with the proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a high performing team is required.
