DESCRIPTION: We have been retained by a prominent metropolitan NYC Medical School to locate a Divisional Administrator for a large, premier and complex Pediatric sub-specialty. The Divisional Administrator (DA) is a critical leadership role within the Department of Pediatrics, responsible for aligning business strategies with operational capacity. The individual in this role partners with leadership at the Divisional/Departmental and Institutional levels to ensure best practices, compliance with all regulatory requirements and policies as well as fiscal viability and operational effectiveness of the division. The position reports to the Division Administrator as well as to the Chief of the Service.
There are in excess 60 staff in the division including 40 full time and part time faculty/physicians, numerous NP's RN's and a RN supervisor- remaining are support staff. There are 20,000 plus annual visits and an annual budget in excess of $31,000,000.
Responsibilities include Administrative, Financial and Business Operations, as well as Strategic Planning and Business Alignment.

The successful candidate must have faculty practice departmental/divisional management experience. He/she must have strong management skills and solid financial/budget experience. He/she must be pro-active, an independent problem solver, organized and detail oriented with strong communication, supervisory and computer skills. He/she must be able to work diplomatically/collaboratively with all staff levels plus University and Hospital leadership. A Bachelor’s degree is essential; Master’s degree in public health or business preferred.
