DESCRIPTION: We have been retained to locate a seasoned recruiter with solid management experience to serve as an Assistant Director of Recruitment and Staffing for a prominent metropolitan/suburban NYC multi-site Academic Health System. This individual will report to the Director of Recruitment and oversee a staff of sixteen recruiters.
Major Responsibilities include:
•Manage recruitment and selection process for exempt management positions, including development of internal and external sources.
•Oversee recruitment workflow and delegation of duties.
•Provide client departments with regular support and advice throughout the hiring effort. Negotiate salaries within policy guidelines and in consideration of market demands and internal equity.
Determine need, publication placement and copy for recruitment advertising.
•Establish, with the Director, methods of monitoring quality of Staffing office work product. Develop metrics with director to establish benchmarks; analyze results data to determine adjustments to work method and implement necessary changes.

EXPERIENCE: The successful candidate should have a minimum of 5-7 years of proven progressive recruitment experience in a unionized healthcare environment coupled with demonstrated experience managing staff. Our client seeks a candidate with a minimum of a bachelor's degree, preferably in HR; a Masters degree is an added plus.
