REVENUE CYCLE MANAGER SEARCH Administration Faculty Practice Brooklyn NY
DESCRIPTION: We have been retained by a physician practice management organization allied with a prominent teaching hospital in the metro New York area to locate a Revenue Cycle Manager who will be responsible for all revenue cycle activities of assigned clinical practice areas to include accounts receivables, collections, reimbursement and other functions that fall in the scope of revenue cycle management. Responsibilities: • Develop, prepare, utilize reports to track financial/operational performance • Identify revenue cycle problems, research/analyze data to resolve issues, identify and select alternative solutions to persistent/complex problems and implement solutions for improvement • Set productivity standards and strategic planning to optimize collections • Coordinate staff activities regarding charge capture, coding, charge entry, insurance follow up and reimbursement analysis • Monitor staff performance regarding appointment scheduling, registration, practice check in/out and collections • Develop/utilize management models to monitor staff productivity/quality • Work with financial analyst, physicians and administrative leadership to educate/train providers/staff about coding and outstanding issues • Research, monitor, provide education and implement payer regulations and guidelines related to revenue management activities • Review/recommend changes to charge capture documents to facilitate accurate and comprehensive billing in compliance with CPT-4 and ICD-9 updates

EXPERIENCE: The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience, 3 at a supervisory role, in physician billing, highly developed analytical skills for A/R analysis and collections, knowledge of regulatory protocols regarding medical office practices, knowledge of medical billing/collections, commercial insurance and Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement. He/she will have excellent written/oral communication skills, strong financial background and advanced computer skills including Excel, IT systems and database management. A Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business administration is required. Knowledge of Athena-Health is preferred.
